What's on the Plate for Pork Chop Night
Our Wednesday special is simple, and that's the point. You get a chargrilled pork chop with mashed potatoes, gravy and green beans. The grill gives the chop a smoky char on the outside, the mashed potatoes are there to catch every drop of gravy, and the green beans round it all out.
It's the kind of plate a lot of us grew up eating at a kitchen table in River Ridge, Harahan or somewhere just like it. The difference is that on Wednesday, somebody else does the cooking and the dishes. If you've been eating sandwiches over the sink all week, this is your sign to sit down to a real meal.
$9 Dozen Raw Oysters, All Day Wednesday
Fall is a great time to be an oyster lover in South Louisiana, and Wednesday is a great day to be one at Kelley's. A dozen raw oysters is $9, and the deal runs all day, from the time we open at 11am until we close at 9pm.
A few ways folks like to do it:
Lunch break dozen. Slip out at lunch for a cold dozen and get back to work happy.
Table starter. Order a dozen for the table while everybody looks over the menu.
Surf and turf, Kelley's style. A dozen raw oysters followed by a chargrilled pork chop. Trust us on this one.

Why Wednesday Works for Families
Kelley's is a family-friendly seafood restaurant, and Wednesday might be the easiest night of the week to bring everybody out. The pork chop plate is a crowd-pleaser for the folks who'd rather skip seafood, the oyster fans get their fix, and the rest of our menu has plenty for picky eaters, from po-boys that come fully dressed to muffulettas and Italian favorites.
It's also the start of our week. We're closed Sunday through Tuesday, so Wednesday is the first chance to get back to Kelley's after the weekend.

Friday: Crab Night, with fresh crabs at market price, all-crab pasta, or soft shell crab over cream pasta.
Saturday: Snow crabs at market price, $2 long necks and $5 frozen margaritas all day, plus the $9 dozen raw oysters.
