Around New Orleans, Italian food and seafood have always shared the same table. Our grandparents knew it, and the corner restaurants of Jefferson Parish still prove it every week. At Kelley's Village Inn on Jefferson Hwy, we're best known as a family-friendly seafood restaurant, but plenty of our regulars in River Ridge and Harahan come in for something else entirely: a big plate of red gravy, angel hair and melted cheese. Here's a look at the Italian side of our menu.
Parmesan Plates with Angel Hair and Marinara
If you grew up on Sunday supper with a pot of sauce on the stove, these are for you. Our parmesan dishes are all served with angel hair pasta and marinara.

Some nights you just want spaghetti and meatballs, and we're not going to argue with that. It's simple, filling and the kind of plate the kids and the grandparents can agree on.
Italian Flavor on Bread
You can't talk Italian food in this part of Louisiana without talking about the muffuletta. Our Original Muffuletta is stacked with ham, salami and melted mozzarella and topped with our homemade olive salad. Want to keep it light at lunch? Order a half. Feeding a crowd? Go whole.
We also make a Meatball po-boy and a Chicken Parmesan po-boy, and both can be made on a half or whole muffuletta loaf instead. Our po-boys come fully dressed. On the chicken side of the menu, the Italian Bird is a fried chicken breast with mozzarella and marinara.
Start with Something to Share
Get the table going with Garlic Cheese Bread, Fried Eggplant or Fried Calamari. The calamari is a good bridge if half your crew came for Italian and the other half came for seafood. Our VIP Italian Salad brings lettuce, tomato, ham and Swiss together under that same homemade olive salad. And if you like a pie, we've got 12-inch pizzas with toppings like Italian sausage, pepperoni and mushrooms.

That's the beauty of a place like Kelley's. One person orders the eggplant parmesan, another gets a fried shrimp platter, someone else goes for the Seafood Muffuletta with fish, oysters and shrimp, and everybody's happy. You don't have to pick a restaurant based on who wants what. Save a little room for our homemade bread pudding with rum sauce, too.
