Halloween lands on a Saturday this year, and around River Ridge and Harahan that means a full day. There's trick-or-treating to plan, costumes to finish, and somebody has to feed the crew before the sun goes down. At Kelley's Village Inn on Jefferson Hwy, we've got that part handled. Saturday is Snow Crab day, and there's no better way to fuel up for a night of candy runs.
Snow Crabs Before the Trick-or-Treating
Every Saturday we serve snow crabs at market price. Seafood prices move with the season and the catch, so we price them fresh. Just ask your server for today's price.
Snow crab is a slow, happy, crack-and-pick kind of meal, and it's a good way to get the family around one table before everybody scatters into the neighborhood. Come in for lunch, or grab an early dinner in the afternoon so the little ones are fed and ready when it's time to head out with their bags.
$9 Dozen Raw Oysters All Day
Our $9 dozen raw oysters run all day on Saturday, from the time we open until we close. Start the table off with a dozen on the half shell while the crabs are on the way. Fall is a great time for oysters in South Louisiana, and there's no trick to this one. It's just a treat.
$2 Long Necks and $5 Frozen Margaritas
The grown-ups deserve a treat too. On Saturdays we pour $2 long necks and $5 frozen margaritas all day long. Have one with your crabs, toast to surviving another Halloween, and let the kids argue over who's got the best costume.
A Family-Friendly Seafood Restaurant Close to Home
Kelley's is a family-friendly seafood restaurant in River Ridge, just down the road from Harahan, and neighbors all over Jefferson Parish count on us for fresh seafood, po-boys, muffulettas and Italian plates. Not everybody at the table has to be a crab person. Anybody who'd rather skip the cracking can grab a fully dressed po-boy, a muffuletta or one of our Italian dishes.
