If you live in River Ridge or Harahan, you already know the question that comes up every week: where are we getting good seafood? At Kelley's Village Inn on Jefferson Highway, we try to make that one easy. We're a family-friendly seafood restaurant right here in Jefferson Parish, and every night we're open has its own special. Here's a simple guide to planning your week with us.
Wednesday: Pork Chop Night and $9 Oysters
We kick off the week with a plate that tastes like home. Wednesday is Pork Chop Night, with a chargrilled pork chop, mashed potatoes, gravy and green beans. It's the kind of supper a lot of us grew up on, without the pots and pans to wash afterward.
Wednesday is also one of our raw oyster days. A dozen raw oysters is just $9, so start the table off with a dozen to share, or keep them all to yourself.
Thursday: Steak Night for $24.95
By Thursday, everybody's ready for a treat. Steak Night gets you your pick of an 18-22 oz ribeye or an 8 oz filet with one side for $24.95. Whether you're the big ribeye type or you'd rather have a tender filet, it's one of the best steak deals in Jefferson Parish.
Friday: Crab Night
Friday in South Louisiana means seafood, and Crab Night is how we celebrate it. Choose fresh boiled crabs at market price, our all-crab pasta, or soft shell crab served over cream pasta. Seafood prices move with the season, so just ask your server for that night's crab price.
Saturday: Snow Crabs, $2 Long Necks and $5 Margaritas
We close out the week with snow crabs at market price, plus $2 long necks and $5 frozen margaritas all day. Saturday is our other $9 dozen raw oyster day, too. Crack crabs, sip something cold and let the evening roll.
Fresh Seafood Close to Home
You don't have to drive across the parish for fresh seafood. Kelley's sits at 9201 Jefferson Hwy in River Ridge, just down the road from Harahan, and our neighbors count on us for seafood, po-boys, muffulettas and Italian plates.
Not everybody at the table wants the special, and that's fine. Our po-boys come fully dressed, and the muffulettas are made for sharing (or not). Bring the kids, bring the grandparents, bring the whole crew. There's something for everybody.
